Seasonal Influences Calendar 2008

Moon Phases

New Moon
The new moon is the end of the waning phase (Full to New Moon) of the moon (which is the most powerful phase for de-toxing (letting go)). At the new moon there is an abundance of negative ions which feels good for the majority of people.

Full Moon
The full moon is the end of the waxing phase (New to Full Moon) of the moon (which is the most  powerful phase for absorption (taking up)). At the full moon there is an abundance of positive ions which feels challenging and uncomfortable for the majority of people.

(All times stated are G.M.T)

With the above calendar you will be able to reference when each new and full moon occur and see which areas / organs of the body it will focus. It is interesting to follow this as many people feel discomfort (or some effect) within the same area / organ at the time.
Equinoxes

Equinoxes (equal day / equal night, when the Sun is at right angles over the equator) – Both the spring and autumn equinoxes create a flip of energy within the body. During the winter (after the Autumn Equinox), the energy moves up the back and then down the front of our body (closed). During the summer (after the Spring Equinox) the energy moves up the front and then down the back of our body (open). At these change over points (the equinoxes) the flip of energy creates a huge detoxification from within the cells which if managed well can lead to higher vitality.

1) The Spring Equinox - 20/03/2008 at 05:48
2) The Autumn Equinox - 22/09/2008 at 15:40

Solstices

Both the summer (21st June) and the winter (21st December) solstices are times of high energy which can be harnessed to achieve better health (June to December the sun’s energy is waning and from December to June it is increasing).

1) The Summer Solstice - 21/06/2008 at 00:00
2) The Winter Solstice - 21/12/2008 at 12:02

It is interesting to observe the people around you on both the equinoxes and the solstices as you will often see lots of acute episodes (colds and flu’s etc) as the body attempts to use the heightened energy to remove stagnant toxins.

Eclipses

Eclipses can have a profound effect on the body as they effect the atmosphere and the electrical
charge we receive. People can often feel strange at these times and can often develop acute health episodes.
